About SalaryCalc
A utility for understanding net salary across European countries.
What this is
SalaryCalc is a gross-to-net salary calculator covering 13 European countries. It supports both employee and freelancer (B2B / self-employed) tax regimes, applies official 2026 tax rates, and converts between currencies in real time.
The tool is built for expats, remote workers, and freelancers comparing take-home pay across jurisdictions. It is free, has no account requirement, and stores no personal financial data.
Who builds it
SalaryCalc is built and maintained by a small independent team of engineers. The project lives at salariescalc.com and is published nowhere else. We are not tax advisors — our goal is utility: accurate calculations and transparent methodology, so you can check our work against official sources.
How we maintain accuracy
For each country, we pull tax rates from official government publications — tax authority sites, gazette publications, statutory instruments — and cross-check them against established summaries like PwC’s Worldwide Tax Summaries. Calculations are verified against local reference calculators. When rates change — typically at the start of each tax year — we update the calculator and label rates with the applicable year.
